Leah watched silently her mother talk to her father over the phone. On the other end, her brain continuously worked. Overthinking every aspect of what happened, what could happen and what would she do if something went down?
There was nothing she could do if she was out. We had to hope that no one would catch her sneaking around.
If she wanted to avoid getting God, then she knew she had to do it in the late hours of the night. It would be the time but would not come and so her father. It should be around 1 o'clock at midnight.
"Darling," Emily came back rushing in, "I'm sorry. I have to leave and I will come back after dinner. I may even come back in the early hours of the morning. I have to go with your father to a dinner his assistant forgot to put in the schedule. I'm so sorry, I know this is last night and I promised you that we would have a sleepover together.."
