Cyrus sighed after his mother left, then gestured for the employees to do what they came for before tasking Raven to not let anyone else come.
Then he walked over to the sofa where Heather had been sitting while he finished all this.
"You gave her the fulfillment she wants," he said after sitting down beside her.
Heather laughed, "It is fine, it was her last laugh. After this, she will be faced with nothing but humiliation after humiliation."
He sighed again.
Heather reached out and massaged the space between his brows.
"If I don't come, you will be faced with more headache. Aren't you happy that I actually came?" she asked with a smile.
"I am," he admitted.
When her voice entered his ear a while ago, there was this inexplicable happiness in him. As if all along, he was waiting for her to be near him.
"Anyway, it seems she is planning on getting you to meet your new bride."
