Suddenly seeing Yun Meiyi getting silent at her claim, Yun Jiaqi again felt herself elevating on the stairs of confidence from which she felt getting down moments ago. Pulling on the corner of her lips in a sneer, she said with arrogance laced in her voice. "Sister YiYi, living under the misapprehensions is not good for health. You know you would be sooner or later traumatized from it."
"Look around and see you have lost it all. You have left with nothing and with having nothing, aren't you meaninglessly flaunting your confidence? Our father has tacitly disowned you, and without grandpa around, I doubt you would be able to get into our family again, lest talk about coming to our family house."
As she mentioned that old story, Yun Meiyi felt a pang in her heart. Her heart clenched instinctively as if preventing the spreading of pain across the organ that's first to detect emotional happiness or pain. The tears that had once momentarily dried in her eyes started to appear again as she flashed with the sharp words of her father from the past.
"You are really good for nothing, Meiyi. Same as your mother. What's the use of having you in the family when you still behave like the uncultured bumpkin from the old town? You should get back to the family from where you came. Don't show your face again to me in the future. Having no daughter is better than having a daughter like you."
Those were the words of her father that night. She still remembered it word by word, never forgetting even a syllable of it. How could she forget? Those words weren't just one of the most heart-aching memories she had of her father but also the only memory of her father.
Wasn't it ridiculous? Even after living in the Yun family house for years, that was the sole memory where she heard her father talking to her. And what's more insane about it was that she wasn't the one responsible for it. She just took the blame to save Yun Jiaqi that day. Even the fiancée that you used to boast about. doesn't deem you fit to stand by his side. You know Brother Su Yang hates you more than he hates anyone else in this world. Do you know without him your value would be nothing in society? After all, after today, you would no longer be the future Madam Su of the Su family."
She said and at the mention of it, Meiyi's lips again gave a bitter smile. It was not her fault that the men took her intentions wrong when what she did was just in the best favor of his family. It was not like these people could change anything for her. What they could do the best is just they could make her life more miserable than it already was.
Seeing Yun Meiyi walking still unaffected, Yun Jiaqi could no longer take it anymore. "Yun Meiyi, how could you walk out like that, do you really not care any of it? What are you being so arrogant about? Not like you are a stand-alone millionaire who could start her life all over again and get to do whatever she likes."
At those words, for the first time, Yun Meiyi wanted to laugh out loud. That's where her-once-being-younger-sister got her wrong. She didn't know her as well as she thought she did. Although she had fooled her with her affection, Yun Meiyi still had a lot of cards that people were unknown about. Although they would no longer be of any use to her since all those were plans for her old age, until she is alive, she could use them to kill time and enjoy her life on her own.
"Don't forget that after your death, even your properties and assets would come under my name?" Yun Jiaqi continued and not seeing her resting in peace, finally, Yun Meiyi halted and turned to look at her.

Yun Meiyi stared at her and after a moment, couldn't help but give a slow chuckle. "Jiaqi, I would repeat it again. No matter what you do, I never took you as my competitor. And since you were never my competitor, there could be nothing like a victory or defeat between us. At least, not now. But I can't be sure of the near future."
"Heh! You are trying to portray yourself as a big person? What's the use of it, at the end you have lost everything?"
At this moment, hearing her repeat the same thing again and again like a broken tape recorder, Yun Meiyi could no longer take it anymore. Her eye got a hint of irritation in it as it pierced Yun Jiaqi to say, "About my loss, you seemed more knowledgeable than me, Jiaqi. It seems it was really tough for you to make me lose everything. With that thought, Yun Meiyi was about to walk away when from a distance Yun Jiaqi signaled someone. And the next moment, a leg popped out of nowhere making Meiyi trip on her footing.
She doesn't want to get embarrassed but seems like fate has decided something else for her.
