Chereads / Seduced By My Rogue Mate / Chapter 6 - You're only but something under my feet

Chapter 6 - You're only but something under my feet

Note: I changed the Alpha's name from Lee to Mek.

As one, i and Kel advanced closer to the rogues, who were likely still unaware of our presence based on how calm they are.

"As one, we attack," I call out through the mind link I share with them.

"Yes, Alpha." They answer.

"Are you sure we'll be able to cover the entire rogues from entering the pack?"

"Yeah, that's possible. I didn't perceive their scents anywhere aside from here. There's no way they can go through us to our pack without arousing our suspicion."

"I guess so." He shrugged.

"If you don't want to proceed, you can return to the pack. You've done your duties."

"I doubt that's possible. I'm already here Mek, I'm not going anywhere." He says in that stubborn, admirable voice.

"Let's go then. The earlier we get things done, the earlier we go home."

"Let's go." Nodding, he morphs into his wolf. Charging toward the still clueless rogues, he howled at the top of his voice, and the others followed suit after him.

Changing into my wolf, I follow suit, just in time to join the fight between the rogues and my warriors.

Howling in anger, claw at the flesh of the rogue wolf that stupidly came at me. Biting on the neck of the unfortunate wolf, I send it flying to the right of the border.

With that one taken care of, I charge towards the other ones. Growling and biting as I went. None of the getting anywhere successful in coming close to me, talk more of biting.

"Alpha!" My beta gasped in urgency, his voice ringing in my mind.

"What's it?"

"They're getting stronger." He gasped. "I think they're making use of the bane against us."

"What?" I angrily tore the rogue next to me in two. "Retreat, I'll take you up …"

I didn't get to finish my words before I felt my pack's Anguish.

The rogues have succeeded in filtering in.

I can hear the cries of the children as whatever it is the rogues are with is used on them.

The more their cries get more pronounced, the more I get dizzy from it. It's as if their cries are sucking the strength from me, and making me dizzy.

Charging toward them in anger, I tried to fight off the wolves coming at me, but the more I fought, the more the cries of my pack weigh me down.

It feels as if their cries are taking my strength from me. Fighting them felt as if I'm somehow fighting against myself.

The more their cries get more pronounced, the more tired I feel.

One of the rogue wolves ran towards me. Lifting my paws to hit him, my hands slunk a bit. It felt like my hand is filled with cement.

The rogue wolf shoved me, knocking into my side, he landed on the opposite side to where I am standing.

Staggering at the force he made use of, I fell to the floor, only to change back to my human form.

I cough, rising to my feet, I noticed something.

In my moment of weakness, I ended up getting surrounded by the rogues.

Looking into their roguish eyes, I smirk, "you think you can defeat me?" I growl. Staggering a bit, I righted my stance.

Had it not been for the shouts of my pack weighing me down, I would have defeated them without batting an eye. It wouldn't have taken me more than an hour to go through them.

"Your bravery is admirable, my Alpha." A male mocked.

The rogues made space and a male that doesn't look all that older than I am stepped out.

"And who're you?" I growl at him and ask, getting ready for battle. My wolf might be weak, but that doesn't mean my Human body is.

"Your Alpha." Walking close to me, the male stood just a few feet from my standing position.

"My Alpha?" I scoff at his words. "If there should be a cause for us to refer to each other with our title, I should be the one you refer to as Alpha."

" Alpha?" He scoffed some more. "Should there be an Alpha among us, it's me, darling. I'm the Alpha, and you're only but something under my feet." Flicking his fingers, he called the attention of his rogues to him.

Watching them, it's not too difficult to know he's the leader of the dark souls. The leader of the rogues who fight without mercy. Rogues who steal in during the night only to devastate the pack that's unfortunate to fall into their evil spell.

"Kel!" I shout in anger as I watch them dragging my best friend like he's nothing more than a sack of flour.

Trying to move, my legs felt as if bags of cement are placed there, each weighing me down.

They threw an unconscious Kel on the floor, kicking him on his stomach, one of the rogues placed their foot on his back.

"Let him go!" I growl at them.

"Only him?" The leader tsked. "You don't care about the others?" He asked in a clipped voice.

It's as if he's angry about something.

"I care about my pack."

Aside from the fact Kel happened to be a best friend I grew up with, I love my pack members, I care about them like one does a family, and that's what they are.

"But you seem to have a strange liking for this one." The Alpha pressed, "is he somehow Romantically involved with you?"

"What does it matter to you? My life and what I do with it don't matter to you. It's all mine, and nothing else." I frown at him.

"It does matter to me." He closed the gap between us, trailing his hand on his face, he smirked. "Whatever you do matters to me."

"Stop doing that."

I would have slapped his hand off my face had I been controlling my tired body.

"Doing what?" Still smirking, he trails his finger down my clothes.
