Declan was drunk after a few pegs. He was dizzy and leaned against the back of the sofa. Even when he was drunk, his agony did not go away tonight. Instead, it grew. He started missing Yasmin even more. It prompted him to have a few more drinks. His vision blurred, and his eyelids drooped.
"Why are you drinking so much?" A thin voice prompted him to raise his head and look up. With his blurry vision, he saw a woman looking down at him.
He squinted in an attempt to recognize her. He couldn't see her face, but her voice sounded pleasant. Such a sweet voice could only be Yasmin's.
He cocked his head slightly and murmured incoherently, "Yasmin."
"Come on. Let's get out of here."
The woman pulled him up by his arm. She supported him by wrapping her arm around his waist and letting him put his arm around her shoulders. She escorted him out of the pub.
