"No…" Declan exclaimed with extreme annoyance, his face turning red.
Yasmin flinched at his loud voice once more and pushed the wheelchair back, only to collide with the wall. Her mind was filled with images of her meeting with Tina before the accident. Although she didn't believe Declan would send the divorce agreement through Tina, she had clearly noticed his signature on those papers.
How could that possibly be a lie?
She was not sure what to believe or what not to believe.
Declan rubbed the back of his neck and returned to his composure. He never intended to yell at her and scare her.
He crouched down in front of her and rested his hands on her thighs, staring into her eyes. "This marriage and you mean a lot to me. I... made some mistakes that caused you pain. I sincerely apologize."
