Earl returned home early with a big carry bag in his hand. He found Amber on the balcony attached to her bedroom. His steps came to a halt as he hesitated for a while before approaching her.
"Amber…"
Amber tightened her grip on the balustrade when she heard his voice. She didn't turn to face him, though. Only her eyeballs moved to the corners of her eyes.
Earl lowered his gaze to the carry bag before returning his gaze to her back. "I… have brought you a dress."
Amber turned to him frantically, her pupils dilating. She moved her eyes down to the brown bag in his hand.
Earl held up the bag in front of her. "I have never bought anything for you. I am not sure if you like it or not. But I thought you would look good in it. Check it."
