Dante stared at him in awe, then chuckled, scratching his head. His eyes glowed with relief. "You got the tape… Angus' confession tape! These people… you mean, they are working for you."
"Victor is a friend," Declan revealed. "He runs a private security firm."
Dante laughed, surprised and content. He thought he would ask for a huge sum of money from Declan and leave. After learning that Declan had sent his friend to protect him, he changed his mind.
"You owe me nothing, Mr. Wilson. I will be grateful to you for the rest of my life."
"You helped me, and I helped you. We are even."
"How about Jack?" Dante's smile faded and worry descended on his face.
"He is also released and recuperating in the hospital," Declan replied. "Come. I will take you to the hospital."
They came out of the safe house after thanking Victor.
