"Again!" Yasmin exclaimed, sitting up abruptly. "Mm…" Her leg hurt, and she bit back a yelp. She cursed under her breath.
"Hmm…" Declan hummed, distressed. "He regained consciousness. Then something happened, and his heart rate dropped suddenly. His condition was critical. He is stable now, but unconscious. Damn… I want him awake."
He kept his suspicions about Caroline to himself. In other words, he didn't want to ruin his mood by talking about her.
Yasmin also didn't ask any further questions. She was relieved at the thought that Sean had not done something to hurt him. Her focus was diverted to consoling him.
"Don't take stress. I believe Dad will wake up soon."
Declan dropped the cigarette and stepped on it to extinguish it. "I will be late. Don't wait for me. Sleep."
"Stay safe."
He ended the call and went back to the hospital.
