Amber continued to watch them while digging her nails into her forearm. Natasha's smile was as hot as burning coal on her skin.
She dragged her nails along her forearm unconsciously, leaving long scratch marks on her pale skin. Her throat tightened and she felt nauseous.
"Drive home."
The driver started the car as soon as he was told to.
Several minutes later…
Amber ran into the mansion, wiping her tears away.
"Amber, slow down." Caroline was terrified that Amber would fall and hurt herself. She was also worried about seeing her cry. "Why are you crying, darling?" She blocked her way.
Amber rubbed her nose and averted her gaze, a grimace on her face.
"Amber…" Caroline held her shoulders, her gaze full of concern. "What is bothering you? Tell me."
