Declan tightened his fists, leveling the cold stare. He refused to believe his father could be so cruel.
"My father would never do anything to cause hurt to Uncle Arthur. The Watsons and Wilsons used to have a good relationship. You must not be aware of it. You have never met him. Don't accuse him without any proof."
"Proof? What proof do you want? He refused to meet with me."
"Did you talk to him personally? Did you see him commanding the guards to throw you out of the office?" Declan asked vehemently back-to-back questions.
"No…" Paul seemed a little anxious, not knowing what to say. "But the woman in the front desk told me that Mr. Gerald wouldn't meet with me. She initially stated that I could not meet with him without an appointment. She didn't give me an appointment when I asked for one."
