Earl went to a nearby park after leaving the police station. He desired to be alone for some time to reflect on the entire situation. He realized that neither the cops nor the Wilsons would assist him, nor would they believe in his theory. But he was certain Amber had been murdered.
He was already in mourning because he blamed himself for her death and believed she would not have died if he had reached her sooner. He was determined to prove that she was killed and would punish the murderer. It was the only way to overcome this guilty feeling.
While he was considering where to start investigating, he received Natasha's call.
"Hello."
"Mr. Salas, your girlfriend has been brought to the hospital," a thin voice said. "Please be quick. She is having labor pains."
"I am coming." He jumped to his feet and ran over to his car.
