Derrek took two steps back, then froze in place, a sensation of chilling pricking his body. He was refusing to believe what he was witnessing.
"It is not real," he mumbled. "My ears are ringing." He smiled awkwardly.
"My Derrek will become the CEO," Caroline continued to say, a satisfied smile on her face. "Everything of the Wilsons will soon become his. You and I will benefit from this. Our hard work has finally paid off."
"Carol, listen to me first," Nathan hissed, annoyed. "That attack on Declan and Yasmin was…"
He stopped talking abruptly when he saw the tall figure at the doorstep. His face turned ghastly pale.
Caroline frowned and followed his gaze. She inhaled sharply and leaped to her feet, her hand pressing against her lips. Derrek's cold demeanor caused her knees to collide.
