Several minutes later, the firing on the opposing side became less intense.
Declan couldn't understand what was going on. Based on the retaliation they had initially faced, he assumed Sean had been prepared for the attack. It was nearly impossible that their ammunition would run out.
Could it be that most of them were killed?
Declan dismissed this thought as soon as it entered his mind. He thought it was another ruse by Sean. He would not fall into his trap.
"Listen up…" When he turned to his left, he couldn't find Earl. He saw him going up to the gate. "Shit…"
Declan wrinkled his nose, helpless and irritated at the same time. He could do nothing but back him up by firing at the opponent's side while prudently following him in.
