After spending some restless moments in the study, Declan went back to the bedroom.
Yasmin was still lying in the same position, her back to the door. Looking at her stiff back, he couldn't tell whether she had fallen asleep or not.
'Oh, man…' He wiped his face, exhaling. 'Why is she so difficult to handle?' He found dealing with her tougher than business.
He gently closed the door before going into the closet. After changing into his black pajamas, he went to bed. Instead of lying down, he leaned against the headboard, staring at her and contemplating whether or not to call her.
Yasmin, on the other hand, was agitated as she sensed his steady gaze on her. Her skin was burning, and the knots were forming in her stomach. It was difficult for her to continue lying statically.
'Just lie down, please. I can't keep my eyes closed any longer.'
Her hand under the pillow formed a tight ball. She didn't even take a long breath.
