Yasmin blinked several times, trying to make sense of what she was seeing. The flowers were still there, screaming his actual intention of bringing her here. She picked up the bouquet and observed the beautiful daisies.
"Do you like them?" he asked. His nervousness could be heard in his hoarse voice. He moved in closer, licking his lips. "I didn't know what flower you liked. I thought daisies would be nice."
Declan had given her flowers for the first time since their marriage. How could she not love them? She would keep these daisies forever with her. She inhaled the sweet, subtle smell, which was relaxing and uplifting.
Declan sighed. His anxiety grew as she didn't respond to him. He moved another step closer to her. "Your silence is killing me. Say something."
Her eyes were emotionless when she looked up at him. "What do you expect me to say? You brought me here to have sex. And… after suspecting me with Derrek, you think I will let you touch me? No…"
