Vanessa looked at Alex as though he had just lost his mind and said something completely ridiculous. How could he listen to Sophia and suggest that they start addressing each other informally? Didn't he realize that despite their living together she was still his employee?
"I'm sorry, Mr. Moore. I don't think I can do that," Vanessa said, and Alex raised a brow as he turned to spare her a glance.
"Why not?"
"Regardless of the current situation, I don't think it is right. Sophia and I won't live under your roof forever, and things might become awkward between us if I start calling you by your first name," Vanessa explained, and Alex's brows pulled together.
It was true that they won't live under his roof forever. Did he forget that? Had he enjoyed their company so much in the last couple of weeks that he has forgotten that they weren't going to stay on his house forever and would someday leave? Alex mused.
