"What did you do to make her not want you around, Thelonious?" Gia groaned.
"How do you know I did something?" Theo scoffed in mock offense. He looked like a pup ready to deny the most obvious thing that he was guilty of. It was laughable. Hadn't he grown into the mature Alpha male he was meant to be yet? The one who could take responsibility for his mistakes and learn from them? Gia rolled her eyes.
"Seriously?" She scoffed. "Are you going to claim that it was her who did something?"
"She did do something. She opened a portal and pushed me out of it."
"And why is that, dear cousin? There must be a reason for it."
Theo grunted. "She said that she wasn't good for me—that she was a danger to me and to our pack and that I should focus on helping everyone here right now until the timing was better."
"That's impressive," Sage nodded. "And practical."
