Sage arrived to where Grayson was cradling Selah's head in his lap, unsure of how to help her.
Grayson was still mystified by this situation. How had he known she was here? How had he gotten here just in time? And if there was this powerful connection waiting to guide him to her, how had he missed it all of this time?
"Goddess, Selah!" Sage ran toward them, seeing his older sister limp.
Grayson's head snapped up, and he snarled a warning that was unlike any Sage had ever heard. There was nothing like the vocal threat of a vampire. Wolves had some pretty nasty snarls, but a greater depth of darkness came through when it was a vampire issuing it.
"I am her brother," he choked out, raising his hands instinctively. "Zane told us you were here."
"Her brother?" Grayson repeated, the rage in his eyes clearing to see Sage more clearly. "Her true brother, in flesh and blood?"
