"Hey," Selah knocked on the door to the room where August and Graeme were still sitting waiting for August's mother to awaken. "I'm sorry to bother you, but there's something important you both need to know. And it probably shouldn't wait."
"What is it?" August frowned. She and Graeme both stood and walked to the door. "Is the perimeter okay? Have more returned?"
"The perimeter is secure, and the Eliade lab is thoroughly destroyed. Zane made extra sure of it," she muttered. "All of that is okay. But something else has happened. Finn found his mate out in Suicide Forest while he was doing runs. And she is… human."
August's eyes went round in surprise. "A human? Really?"
"Wow, good for Finn," Graeme chuckled. "It's about time."
