Ambrosia stared at the lycan without any reaction, but a fiery curiosity lit in her eyes. 

This male was unlike any that she had ever seen before. He lacked the pale flesh of those of her kind, but he was not simply rosy with the flush of life like Cora and her mother. He was darker. He was broader than any of the males here in Gray Vale who did not need the bulk of muscles for strength. This one was covered in them. To think he truly turned into a wolf—lycans were so intriguing. 

Theo straightened from his position against the wall and lifted his chin, staring down at her and the intrigue that was directed his way. This was the ruler of Gray Vale and of the vampires. This woman was the reason why his mate was trapped here in harm's way. 

"Why are you here, lycan?" She asked.
