Chapter 78 - Kiss

At first Grayson only meant to give Cora the blood she was denying otherwise. The action was not planned, but it seemed brilliant in the moment. He would take the blood out himself and give it to her. The blood that helped sustain him was restorative, and it would heal her in seconds—erasing the ugly marks that his brother had left along with the visible evidence of her vulnerability. 

He had forgotten what an intimate action this implied for humans. With no need or ability to reproduce, vampires were not overly sexual creatures. Those who engaged in things of that nature did so mostly out of curiosity, but sex between vampires was different than in other creatures… much different. With no pulse in either partner who engaged in it and no inherent wild passion, it was often clinical and dispirited. And so most found there to be no real point to it.
