Ashton patted Phoenix's back to lull her to sleep. With the gentle pat on her back and inhaling Ashton's masculine scent, Phoenix soon fell asleep.
Her even breathing showed that Phoenix really had fallen asleep. Thus, Ashton slowly got out of bed and headed to the living room.
Making sure that Phoenix wouldn't wake up, Ashton closed the bedroom door quietly.
With his phone in his hand, he walked towards the balcony and made a call.
It took a while for his call to be picked up. Ashton almost gave up as he thought that the person he called probably had called in the night.
"Ashton!" Ethan's eager voice was heard.
"Where are you? Are you staying the night at the resort, or did you go back to Han's mansion?" Ashton asked.
"I'm at the resort. Why? Ash, are you with Phoenix? How is she? Did she say anything to you? Did you talk to her about us?" Ethan bombarded Ashton with inquiries about Phoenix.
