Malachi watched the blood dripping from Ravina's hands and he couldn't deny that it did hurt him even when it didn't seem to hurt her. Coming back here, seeing the devastated and tortured look in his brother's eyes and being reminded of his sister gave him the strength to resist whatever pull this woman was trying to use against him.
Malachi hadn't wanted to believe it. He didn't want to believe that she would go so far as to torture him using this weakness against him because then… then what would be of him? What was he supposed to do than to tear himself away from the part that identified her as his breedmate and live like a crippled man for the rest of his life? No, not crippled.
