Chapter 19 - Art of Love 1 (Zeryon)

He wouldn't let her go. She was too valuable as he could feel that the young  woman had the strongest energy.

He couldn't forget that he didn't even absorb much of her energy when they first met, but he felt he had earned enough for a month and didn't need to find another. And he had no idea what was causing it. It made him more curious about her.

It didn't matter if she refused to attend the seminar, he would find a way to get her close to him by giving her his number. He had reason to contact her later.

After he had done talking to her, he turned around to approach Heva, and he asked, "How is thing?"

"Everything is in order in the administration," she responded.

"Thank you very much, Heva. You did an excellent job."

"No problem. Why didn't you tell the young lady that you gave her the scholarship?"  Heva inquired as she stuffed the files into her bag.

"I doubt she'll like it, or even want to see me again," he responded in a low tone.

"You're overthinking things. In my opinion, nobody would think so. Scholarship recipients would be extremely grateful."

"Perhaps, yes. I just don't want to offend her by approaching her with my money and position."

"Just be honest now. Is it because you like her? There are many women in line behind you, but you've never wanted to take them." Heva raised her eyebrows.

Zeryon put his hands in his pockets, then he replied, "Because I want genuine feelings. You know that demons need pure energy from the heart."

"It looks like you're starting to develop feelings of love." Heva's eyes narrowed.

"That's nonsense. Demons don't feel love."

"Let me tell you about the art of love " she said while her fingers smoothed her brunette hair.

Zeryon laughed and said, "Go a head."

"You have no idea, love is such a powerful emotional connection. It has the potential to blind you. It has the power to take over you and make you do anything, including sacrifice your soul for someone you love. True love feelings will never leave you; they will cling to you like glue and control you, "Heva elaborated.

"I don't understand what you're saying, Heva. I don't have feelings like that."

"Really? It is so obvious that you act differently after you met her. Maybe because this is your first love, so you confuse it as your need to find the energy source," Heva said, she seemed tryng to convince her master.

"First Love? Those words are too strange to hear for me. Come on, Heva." He laughed amusedly.

For a moment, Zeryon felt stupid about this topic of conversation. Demons and love were two opposite things.

There were rumors that a demon who managed to cultivate love in his heart, would only bring disaster to himself. If he had descendants out of that love with humans, then they could harm him and even destroy the entire demon hierarchy.

He ever heard that the Lord of Demon once fell in love to a human and he had a child. That child was so dangerous and had extra special ability.

However, for millions of years, demons remained alive in the underworld. They lived longer for thousands of years. Even the daughter of Lord Demon did not really have a good ability and capable to continue in his father's position.

And on the earth's surface, even demons had been slowly inviting humans to destroy the earth and the population.

Those humans acted worse than the demon themselves. They destroyed another humans. They burned the earth. So he thought that demoms and love would never happened even in the next million of years.

"I can make sure that none of the demon ever feel love," zeryon said.

His gaze looked at surround. He smiled at the few students who passed in front of thim and greeted him respectfully.

"It's up to you. Demons appear to be stubborn as well." Heva rolled her eyes. "But still you need the young woman to fall in love with you, right?"

"Correct. I need her. I don't have much time anymore."

"Don't worry. You will get everything you want. I will always be your side to help you."

"Thank you so much. I really appreciate it."

"No problem."

"By the way, has Vargas brought my painting tools?" Zeryon asked.

"Yes, I've checked it on him. Everything is in the classroom now."

"Okay."

He just started walking, then the faint sound of a woman struggling could be heard from a distance.

His gaze shifted. He saw the old woman who frequently appeared around the academy. People said her health was deterioration, but he disagreed. The old woman seemed to know many secrets.

"Wait a moment." Zeryon followed the old woman who had been apprehended by the two guards.

"Does she bother someone again?"  Zerion asked out of curiosity.

"Sir, yes. She bothers the kids around here. It appears that the mental illness has been triggered again," the security guard said.

The old woman fixed her gaze on Zeryon; sharp and threatening, rather than dreamy. He thought to himself that she didn't look like someone who had a mental breakdown at all. She looked normal for him.

So Zeryon thoughtlessly tried to approach the old woman.

"What do you want, madam?"  Zeryon asked, matter-of-factly.

"Go back to the hell! Go back to the hell!"  Suddenly, she screamed and trembled all at once.

Zeryon gasped. He didn't expect to receive such a respond from her. Even though it was predicted to happen. The problem was that the old woman's words were very conspicuous. He wondered how she could ask him to return to the underworld.

To others, the words seem far-fetched. But for him, it was a very sharp stab. Returning to the underworld was the thing he feared the most. His mind wondered who exactly this old woman was?  Perhaps she knew about the underworld, or perhaps she was hallucinating during the episodes.
