Yarin's POV:
I sat on the ground with the candy in my hand, deep in thought.
Nothing was strange about the interaction, but once I knew this place was fake, the peaceful scenery immediately became filled with eeriness.
The hares were still grazing in the open space. Their soft and tender bodies were a strong contrast to the tall buildings. It was really worrying that they would be swallowed by the bloody mouth disguised as a door.
The sun had begun to set in the west, and the sky was gradually darkening. My heart sank to the bottom of the valley, along with the gradually fading light.
The longer we dragged on, the less guaranteed the safety of the hostages would be. Not to mention me, even the experienced warriors of the game were anxious.
This time differed from any other operation or battle they had participated in. An ethereal conspiracy shrouded everyone's mind, provoking people's irritability and anger for no reason.
