Chapter 5
It's been two weeks since Gongyun (Jamie) goes (missing). He is smart to use cash while making people deliver things for him. He has a new TV, laptop, microwave, and many more that he has on earth. (He thinks he isn't living on the earth and this place is some planet that is similar to earth.)
He is currently eating the pizza he ordered after playing the game that is nearly (not convinced because of his high pride) close to the game he created. He will never admit that the game in this world fascinates him. Rolling his eyes (his signature) he opens another level. He is close to finishing the game and his game name is popular now in the game world. Various people are messaging him, asking who was the person who ranked number one in a very short period. He laughs like a maniac. Being popular in the field is close to his real world, and he feels at home being reminded of his achievements.
Even the game master himself emailed him congratulating him on the milestone. He smirked, not answering them and just enjoying the game to the fullest. He received fame before. This was nothing from pathetic losers who cannot even finish an easy game. He almost predicts the whole layout, smug that he knew how things work in a game and conviction about his new techniques. He likes the attention but this won't do when he likes a quiet life (not really).
Gongyun decided to call himself Jamie from now on. (He doesn't like it in every way) but he has no choice. He snorted while applying for some courses online. He also instantly changes his wardrobe to his taste. Tees in dark colors, some cardigans, jeans, slacks, long sleeves, turtle necks, and hoodies. Furthermore, his shoes are also the latest designs. (His fashion is like an idol, he never admitted it before but now he was convinced).
... Jamie sighs after cleaning his trash.
More days come and he never opens his old pathetic, disgusting phone. He buys new and the latest model at that. He also installed very high security that he developed (yes, because he is a freak in privacy, especially in his world where hacking is a trend.) Creating this level of security is famous even for some companies such as Gongyun. He smirks while he is free to use his bank money without a trace after transferring it to his new account. Many million dollars that his stepfather and mother will surely question if they care enough to find him.
However, nothing lasts until he is bored to death. Staying in the cave infuriates his true nature. He cannot spend more being in the room and playing games like he was some hermit. (Though he enjoys it) Convincing himself is part of his life now. He needs to come back to the university. Being an art student makes his heart flutter.
Gongyun likes art while Jamie is failing the course. He excels analytically, like doctors, lawyers, and business. Art was his weakness and his stupid mother and sibling forces him to choose this course. The idiocy of the family while his stepfather does not care at all. Which he was delighted about.
Aside from the pathetic assassination. Jamie has no reason to stay in his cave. He tried to hack some people according to his memory and the person he met before. They were all useless. Tried to hack the mafia but changed his mind because he knew that it would complicate things.
He just needs to find the person who tried to kill him, rather successfully killed him, and finish them himself. No mercy at all.
Gongyun is a military officer, high ranking at that. He also killed some people in the missions. The government tried to recruit him but he likes to play games more rather than kill humans that he does not care about unless they targeted his family.
His nickname is Al Shadow. He kills quickly like a trained assassin and never in his life has the evidence been found while he was on a mission. He is extremely careful and meticulous.
Another option he wanted to try is to expose the people who killed him (Jamie) and earned money while doing it. He will never forgive them.
It lost the most kind-hearted boy in this parallel world.
A pity. He thought.
