Chapter 7 - In A New City!

Things went just like how Blake wanted. Because of the baby's cry, the count was pissed. But it was money. So he allowed the servants to let the child stay with Blake until he stopped crying.

Actually, all the children that come out of an omega won't be an omega. If it's a girl, then they are nothing special, just a girl. If it was a boy then it was a treasure. However, all the male babies won't be omegas either. They could be normal males too.

However, Blake's child was born with a mole in his eye. So it was clear he was an omega. Even though the count didn't even bother to name him, Blake named him Asher.

Because of that birth, the count was very excited. Another omega! He owned two of them. He was gonna be rich. However, all his plans fell apart when the count found Blake dead in his cell. The worst part was the child had disappeared...

Like that, things ended.

Blake died.

Rose and Nick escaped with the child.

But Rose couldn't feel happy. She regretted not hitting Blake and dragging him with them by force. But when Blake said he had no hopes, Rose gave up forcing him to come with them.

Maybe she never knew Blake killed himself.

But Nick had expected Blake would do something like that.

After that, they never even went to the side of their previous city.

They raised Blake's child well.

Actually, Rose was very glad that Asher took after Blake. If only he started to look like that disgusting count, she didn't know how she would accept that.

God wasn't that mean to her.

Whether their hard work was bad or good, it depended on Asher from then on.

Because they did everything for him.

Blake held himself for the child.

Rose risked her life for the child.

Nick followed Rose for the child.

He was everything!

...

"Ash...that guy was a bastard. But the one who gave birth to you loved you no matter what. That's why he asked me to take you away and raise you well. I am telling you all these things because I don't want you to end up being someone's breeding machine. You need to live well. A happy life...Only then Blake would be happy. We will also be happy. Did you get it?"

Rose was actually crying. The dark past hurt her every time she recalled it. She loved Blake despite the fact he was not her real brother. So when he ended up in such a situation, she actually couldn't watch it.

"Mother..."

Asher was stunned by her confession. He came out of a man's belly and he also had the ability to bear a child. It felt strange.

Actually, some noblemen preferred to have sex with men more than they did with women. So when they knew some men are made for it, and can even give birth to their children, they always fought to buy that man.

Because they were being auctioned, most of the omegas were living in hiding. To be frank, there are not many omegas in the world.

Actually, Asher was the only omega around that area.

So if someone wanted an omega, it would not be an easy task.

That's why people sell them for such a high price. Nobles would end up buying anyway.

"Ash...I have saved some money. It's in the box under the bed. When we die, you will be alone. You must not stay here. Here it's dangerous. Viruses are spreading all around the city. So go to another city and continue your life.

And, all I have to say is to be careful. Think wisely before making any friends. Don't trust people that easily. Got it?"

After a bunch of advice, Asher let Rose rest.

He treated them as he could, but Nick died two days after. After burying him, Asher wanted to comfort Rose. But she also had let out her last breath before getting comforted. He was very sad. Even if she didn't give birth to him, she was still his mother. So he buried her also and paid all the respect to his beloved mother and uncle.

After that, Asher collected a few things and left the house.

He was going to go to another city to live.

He promised Rose that.

So the very next day, he said goodbye to his house and walked to the main road to catch a cart, so he could travel easily.

He got into a bull cart which was half filled by travellers. Asher asked the driver to drop him at the driver's last destination.

After a four-hour tiring tour, he finally arrived at a new place.

The capital of that area looked very lively and cheerful. Well, Asher had never been to the capital. Only went to the city two or four times. So it was no wonder he felt like entering a new world.

It was late in the evening so he had to find a place to spend the night. He decided to treat himself as a normal person. If he were to be extra and extra careful, he was afraid he would end up becoming too anxious. He knew how to find good and bad people. So he thought he could survive.

He found a small inn to stay at night. Actually, those people were very friendly and treated him very well when they heard he was from another city.

He spent that day a little carefree to take a rest. The next day, his purpose was to find a job. He had to keep earning money so he would not run out of them when he was in need.

He saw a board telling they hire people to carry potato bags into their store. However, the job was available at night. The cart comes at night and the job was to place those potatoes inside the store.

Well, for that moment, he felt it was the best. So he ended up becoming a potato-carrying man.

The store owner had more than ten stores in the capital. So for one store, there was one worker. Asher was supposed to carry them alone. He had to take care of everything alone at the store he was assigned to.

It was not as hard as he expected. Even though the bags were a little heavy, it was not that bad. After carrying all of them inside, he paid the cart driver as the boss advised. Then he closed the store and put the key in the boss's house as they were instructed.

For that day's work, they will get paid tomorrow. So after the work finished, Asher walked back to the inn wiping his sweat and kind of regretting his choices. Even though it was not that hard at that time, the pain kicked in afterward.

His hands were sour and numb.

He massaged them and walked lazily to the inn, but only to notice something was wrong.

It was late at night. Maybe past 11. The streets were empty. Only a few people who work late at night wandered around there.

He was sure he heard it!

That was not a good sound…

It was a child crying. From that voice, Asher was sure it was a girl.

And when that girl cried and asked for help, her voice suddenly got unclear as if someone blocked her mouth.

"Help! He-mm..."

And coincidentally, a man was carrying a crying little girl and was covering her mouth tightly. His face was full of anxiousness and nervousness.

That's it!

That guy was kidnapping that girl.

Asher put all the danger aside and ran to save the girl…

The beginning point of his life where he would get involved in that man's life...
