Gastone was terrified to put the pancake in his mouth, but he didn't want Lucia to feel bad if he didn't eat a single bite. He forced himself to swallow a piece and carefully chewed it. He expected a terrible flavor but was surprised it actually tasted good.
"Wow, this is amazing!" Gastone exclaimed with delight. He continued eating until he got to the burnt-to-crisp pancake. He furrowed his eyebrows in confusion about whether he was supposed to eat it.
Lucia placed the cup of coffee with a bright smile on her face. "Are you enjoying, Mister Gastone?" she asked with twinkles in her eyes.
"Hmm, yes," Gastone replied, pointing at the dark piece of food in his place.
"Ah, it's a little bit overcooked, but it tastes delicious!" Lucia explained and stared at Gastone, waiting for him to take a bite.
