At the common marketplace of the town where the royal servants usually went for picking groceries, Kirin was cautiously walking through the narrow alleys, keeping his stiff watch on a few young female servants. He had the lower part of his face covered with a red scarf, and his dagger was clenched tightly on his right palm.
But while he was tailing them, he could feel some cold gazes falling over his back all the time. He quickly understood that he was not the only one who was tailing after the servants, but he was under keen watch too.
And deep down inside, he was already aware of the people who were spying on him.
But when he entered a long narrow alley, all of a sudden his way ahead was blocked by two giant men. They also had their faces covered with linen black scarf and had the same attire as him. Kirin realized they were the fellow assassins sent by the Chief who were tailing him until now while looking at the chisel-shaped long daggers in their hand.
