Unfortunately, there were too many people and Leah was too small. There was no way she could have caught up with them. She lost sight of Wendy very quickly.
"Mommy." Leah started crying after she could no longer see Wendy.
Michael had been following behind Wendy the whole time. He saw Wendy from afar and quickened his pace. He pulled down his cap further and had wanted to dash over to catch up. But there were simply too many people, and he was walking so fast that he bumped into a little child.
Michael picked Leah up in his arms immediately and reached out to pat her. "Little girl, did you hurt yourself? I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to bump into you," he checked where she had hit herself on the floor for injuries and apologized.
Todd walked over to them and immediately took Leah into his arms.
