Looking at Todd's expression, Wendy knew that he was worried for her. She let out a sigh and continued, "Todd, Mr. Woods and I have already fallen out. Christian is busy with the new project and he has no time nor effort to deal with us.
"This is the best time for us. Once Christian has a breather, he will definitely come after us. So, we don't have much time to spare. If I don't take the risk now, I am simply giving Christian a chance to breathe.
"After he sails through difficult times, it'll be impossible for us to live in peace in the future. We are well aware of Christian's conduct. By then, it wouldn't just be the company going bankrupt. We might possibly lose our lives.
"Do you understand, Todd? It's not that I have not considered the consequences but it's because I've thought it through so thoroughly. I have to do this."
