"Mr. Lucas is over there. Shall I tell him you are here?" asked the construction worker.
"It is fine. You can get back to work. Just pretend you did not see us," said Michael.
The construction worker nodded before he turned to leave. Michael and Christian were arch enemies and it was public knowledge. The construction worker had no intention of lingering either. He did not want to get implicated should they get into a fight. This likelihood had only just dawned on the construction worker.
He was so shocked when he saw Michael and Wendy in person that his mind went blank. Otherwise, he would not have dared to bring Michael to Christian's territory. It would be best to make himself scarce now.
Michael seemed to be thinking the same thing. He told the construction worker who was walking away, "If you end up losing your job, you can call MC Enterprise and ask for Mr. York."
