The sound of footsteps that echoed in the corridor with its squeaky-clean marble floors and pristine white walls was measured and gradual– never rising nor falling from the monotonous rhythm it maintained. Judging from the sound alone, one could infer that the person who was walking was someone who was calm, measured, and not easily ruffled.
A few doors with a metallic shine, with a viewing glass about 15"x8" in size located to the uppermost section of the door panel could be seen dotted along the corridor at occasional intervals. Once in a while, a few potted plants could be seen decorating the corridor as well– but that was about the only splash of another color in this otherwise dull and monotonous place.
A slight smell like that of disinfectants and hand sanitizers was in the air– but it was not too obvious. Was this place a hospital… or not? A little suspicious. After all, the sights and smells seemed to match, but there seemed to be something off as well.
