'Magnificent stars'– an annual film and drama award ceremony sponsored by 'Hangzhou television', a TV station of good repute located in Hangzhou city.
Though not that old– unlike most of the mainstream award ceremonies in the country, and lacking a higher level of reputation and popularity, this event could still be considered as having a certain level of recognition and fame within the entertainment industry of the empire of China.
Unlike many of the award ceremonies in the industry that would focus mostly on awarding either the film category or drama category, the specialty of this 'Magnificient stars' award ceremony was that it would focus on awarding works from both of these categories. To be honest, only a very few award ceremonies in this country would do this, since the scope involved would turn out to be too difficult to tackle.
