"What do you want me to do, Scarlet?" Gale asked. He had left her alone since they left the hotel last night but she never stopped calling and texting him. He was already angry that Melody was nearly killed right in front of him but he could not do anything about it. He already knew who the mastermind behind the assassination attempt was but he was powerless.
Going there to question him or threaten him about what he did would only put him at the top of the man's list of people to eradicate quickly. He still needed some time to be ready to challenge him. The last time he did that, the man had brushed it off as the words of a rebelling, cornered child. It worked in his favor but he doubted another mistake like that would be treated likely.
