Melody was silent as she thought back to those fateful days. There were not pleasant days to remember. She wished she had forgotten it all and remembered nothing at all but it was impossible to do so when those very moments had once haunted you while you fought to overcome them.
Her skin turned pale just remembering the pain. She felt like her heart had caved in when faced with the betrayal of the one whom she considered her best friend, someone whom she could trust and be carefree with. The knowledge that the man whom she thought loved her enough to never hurt her being a part of the skim to ruin her reputation, broke her.
It was not easy for her to face such betrayal and they chose to do it when the people whom she could run it were overseas. Her parents were gone and so was Diana, the other person among their friend group whom she knew would forever be by her side.
