Melody recognized the badge on the uniform and breathed in relief. They were the Shadow guards of the Novas and they were here for her. Mr. James or the driver must have called them over.
"We are sorry we are late, Miss," she heard the same voice from earlier but she did not see who it was that said it but she could hear his remorseful tone. "I promise to get to the bottom of this."
Melody said nothing and just stared at the door as if she could see who it was that spoke. She was too tired to open her mouth and say another word.
"Take the Miss back home, Mr. James is waiting," he ordered and one of the men came forward and picked Melody up from the ground.
