"I am still your father, Collins, put the gun away," Jacob yelled. His anger was slowly overshadowing his fear of the gun in Collins' grip. There had to be something in him that can still be reached. Collins could have pulled the trigger but he was hesitating.
"Don't think I won't, you are still alive because there are still sins you must confess, to me in particular. I am yet to know why you killed her," Collins said as if he could read what was in the mind of Jacob.
"Like what?" Jacob asked. He was enraged and felt like strangling Collins right now but somehow, he knew he wouldn't be able to do it. Collins was his flesh and blood, killing him would only make him childless. He could kill anyone but his own offspring. Should he get his hands on Collins after this, he would be locked up somewhere and drilled until he would only know to answer to him.
"For starters, I still don't know why you had her killed," Collins said.
