Melody stood by the study window looking outside at the flower garden that was neatly groomed. Dew could still be seen on it as it glistened at the reflection of the sunlight.
Although her gaze was fixated in the beautiful flowers down below, her mind wandered far back to her conversation with Damian on his last visit. It was the second time he had mentioned marriage to her. The idea of marrying him was something that she opposed but she didn't know if she was ready for that now.
She may have successfully gotten most of the families to acknowledge her and recognize her as their new leader, she still had a lot to do. She didn't want to marry him now and he would feel convicted to taking care of her problems along with his own because she was now his wife.
