Scarlett sat in Jacob's study, she would often look at the door wondering when he would come. He should call for her to come if he would but available or was unwilling to speak with her. At least she didn't come here on her own accord.
A maid walked in with a tray filled with tea and cookies, she gently placed it on the table. She was just about to leave when Scarlety stopped her.
"Could let him know that I am here, there is somewhere that I must be." she said, hating the fact that she had to he polite even when she was not in the wrong. Having money and power was indeed enviable.
"The master has been informed, he would be here shortly. Please be patient." The maid said and left when Scarlett frowned.
"What is he doing that is taking g so long?" she murmured under her breath.
