"You are back!" Pearl exclaimed and shot to her feet, running to the stairs where she had spotted Damian. She gasped when she saw him.
"Mhm, as I promised." Damian stopped before and picked her up.
"You do look like a prince," She said mostly to herself with a bright smile. "Daddy looks like a prince too," she added when Lloyd pretended to be hurt that she didn't notice him.
"You finally noticed me," He walked to where they stood and poked her cheek. "This is why I don't take you with me to work, you will forget that I exist."
"Pearl will never forget her Daddy," She leaned to him and pecked his cheek. "Pearl will always love and remember her Daddy," she added before looking at Damian and asked, "Can we go now, Uncle?"
"We can," he said and began walking to the door. "I have a surprise for you."
