All eyes were locked on her as she descended the stairs. Her movements are measured and graceful. The chatter died down and all that could be heard was the sound of her heels clicking against the marble tiles one step at a time.
At the bottom stair, Damian stood. He looked at her with admiration and longing in his gaze. When she stepped on the last stair, he reached out his hand to her with a warm smile.
With a smile on her own, she placed her hand on his and was taken through the people to the raised platform.
"How do I look?" she asked in a whisper.
"Beautiful," he replied and she raised a brow.
"Just beautiful?"
"I am trying not to look at you again, Mel, or might not be able to keep my hands where they are," Damian said and she smirked.
"I only asked how I look, what does that have to do with where you keep your hands?" she asked, playing ignorant to the meaning behind his words.
