"To apologize," Jacob said and Melody thought she had misheard him.
She looked at him in disbelief.
Although he said that, he didn't look like it. But it was still surprising to hear those two words from him.
"What exactly do you apologize for, killing my parents or me?" Melody asked. Having almost been raped by an old man was also included but she could overlook that for now.
"All of it," Jacob replied. He replied, he looked away from her staring at the door, feeling someone watching them. Shaking off the feeling after seeing no one, he looked at her again. "And I am sorry for what I have come here to do tonight," he added.
Melody nodded her head as if it was now that she understood his purpose for coming. "I see. You have come to finish what you started five years ago?" She asked and smiled. "What makes you think you will be able to walk out of here even if you succeed?"
