Melody and Damian were at the open pavilion with a fur cloth spread on the ground. They both lay there with Melody's head placed on Damian's chest while he played with her hair. It was peaceful and the cold night breeze added another layer of peace to the already tranquil ambiance that enveloped them.
"Would you tell me what happened?" Melody asked. Now that they were both relaxed and silence encompassed them, she thought back to what might have happened to have him so upset and distracted and also having Diana who never bothered to be as worried for her brother as she was today.
"Will you be upset?" He tucked the hair that was on her face when she raised her head to look behind her ear.
"No," Melody said decisively. "Why would I be upset?" she asked and Damian stared at her and kissed her forehead.
