Early the next day,
Melody was seated at the dining table when her phone rang. She looked at the screen and found an unknown number calling, her brows pulled into a slight frown because she didn't think anyone would call her anonymously so early in the morning.
Cleaning her hand and wiping her mouth with the napkin, she picked up the phone and slid a finger on the receive button. Without uttering a word, she placed the phone next to her ear.
Seconds ticked by and no words were heard, she decided to disconnect it concluding it was a prank call. But just before she could do that, a lady's voice was heard.
"There is a package for you outside your gate," the woman said and Melody's frown depeened.
Putting the call on speaker, she asked, "A package outside my gates?" She snapped her fingers and Mr. James appeared next to her in an instant.
"Yes, you may go and get it now," the woman replied.
