After reaching the office, Melody was greeted with the gossip of the employees who tried hard to be as silent as they could when they saw her walking through the door but failed because Melody could still hear their words as they slandered her just as they did five years ago.
She should be mad that her employees, especially those who worked in her office did not respect her enough to at least keep silent and act ignorant of the gossip online, but Melody was impassive. She walked elegantly with steady steps towards her elevator.
