Morning came slowly but Melody could still be seen curled up in bed under those sheets. The morning was cold which had her craving the warmth of the sheets. Subconsciously, she pulled on the sheet wrapping herself further.
The buzzing of her phone had her groaning, she then tried to reach for it but her hands were tucked into the bed sheets and she let out an inaudible curse and a sigh before unwrapping herself. She drew closer to the bedside drawer and reached her hand for the phone.
The cold air grazed her skin and the goosebumps appeared, almost making her withdraw her hand. She opened her eyes which she had refused to open before. Looking at the drawer, it was empty with just the night lamp on top of it. Groaning, she withdrew her hand and sat up.
