Collins and Abigail walked side by side into the elevator. It was awkward inside with Collins just watching her while she pretended to not notice his gaze. He didn't mind her pretense and just kept on staring at her knowing how would get a reaction from her soon.
And just as he thought she turned to glare at him when his gaze on her didn't seize.
"You can stop looking at me, Director No…." Collins raised a brow and she paused.
"I don't see anyone else in here that I can look at, Miss Lawson, and why are you standing so far away? Do you despise being close to me?" Collins uttered, feigning hurt at the end of his words.
"I do not despise you, I am just not that comfortable being in such proximity with…." Abigail stopped when realized what she was just about to say. She would hurt his feelings if she said that last word. She frowned when she realized that she was concerned about a man's feelings getting hurt because of her words. That was so unlike her.
