The days went by faster than Melody would realize. The day of the memorial of her late parents drew nearer and nearer and with each passing day, Melody felt her heart grow heavier. Finally, the day came plunging the whole mansion into a mournful ambience.
Right now, she could be seen standing before two graves dug side by side, decorated with flowers. There was a little distance between her and those who had come to pay their respect to the deceased couple and the mansion's servants. The distance was to give her the privacy she needed to speak to them.
Walking to the first grave, she looked at the bouquet of many colored roses in her hand, its color a vivid and vibrant contrast compared to the black knee-length dress that she had on her. Melody stopped at the first grave which was undoubtedly meant for Emilia Nova, her mother. She stopped and pulled out a yellow rose from the bouquet and gently placed the bouquet on the grave.
